During the summer holidays we decided to give the children a history lessons by taking them to the local castles. The first castle was build by Henry the eight and they where simply fascinated with the shape of the castle. The enjoyed learning about how they where able to defend their castle and the weapons they used. The second stop was at a similar castle up the road, but this one has the most beautiful gardens, they enjoyed running around and playing a game croquet. They where also fascinated with the toilet habits of the tudors, once they saw the privy. My daughter did not understand why they didn’t have underground drainage, and shuddered at the very thought of using a tudor privy. I was amazing at home much they learnt and enjoyed themselves.

My husband and I are having such a great day. We finally have enough money saved and we bought our plane tickets to Dubai. My husband has wanted to go there for a very long time and he has also made me feel excited about visiting there. We have been saving our money for the last six months so that we would be able to purchase our plane tickets. Even though our tickets are not for another six months, it feels like now we are really going to go because we have purchased the first thing that is necessary to make our trip happen. Over the next couple of months we are going to be saving money for the rest of the trip. The next thing that we would like to pay for is our hotels in Dubai. After that we will just need money for public transportation, food and souvenirs.
04.6.11They’ll Never Find Me!
Work during the past few months has been super hectic. I really just want to get away from it all and relax. I mean REALLY relax.
Every time I go on holiday, the boss calls and asks questions about what he should do with something or where he can find a file or document, etc. The interruption during my vacation time makes me start to think about the office again and then it’s really not much like a vacation at all.
I have left strict instructions at the Dubai hotel to not let any phone calls through to my room. I figured that if I left the country, they couldn’t find me. I also tried to think of the oddest place where no one would ever suspect me to be. It turns out that I think I will really like Dubai. My first stop after the hotel will be at the spa inside the hotel. I’m ready to be pampered.
